Clean and comfortable shave
The Bambaw double-edged safety razor combines a natural bamboo handle with a durable metal head. Its single blade delivers a smooth, precise and irritation-free shave.
- Single blade for a clean cut and a close shave with less irritation
- Durable bamboo and metal construction for long-lasting performance
- Well-balanced design for good control and minimal pressure
- Beginner-friendly closed-comb head for easy to use
Effortless Shaving Experience
This single blade safety razor cuts hair evenly at skin level, without the scraping that's common with multi-blade cartridges. Its single blade glides smoothly over your skin for a clean, even finish.
It's built to last thanks to durable materials.
Gentler on Your Skin
Unlike multi-blade razors, which tend to pull each hair upwards and cut it just below the skin's surface, often causing irritation, our single blade safety razor cuts right at skin level. This helps reduce the risk of redness, ingrown hair, razor bumps and irritation.
Easy to Use, Even for Beginners
The bamboo safety razor's closed comb design offers control and safety, even to those starting their shaving journey.
Simply hold the razor at approximately 30° against your skin.
Shave with the direction of hair growth and use short and gentle strokes.
Let the razor's weight guide you. No additional pressure needed.
Designed to Stay with You
Plastic cartridge razors are difficult to recycle because their blades can't easily be separated.
The Bambaw bamboo safety razor is built with natural bamboo and durable metal, a razor you keep for years, with only the recyclable blade to replace.
Cleaner Materials, Closer Shave
Your skin is exposed to the materials in your razor head. Cartridge razors often contain lubricating strips with additives designed to improve glide.
The Bambaw bamboo safety razor keeps things clean and simple: no plastic shaving head, no harsh materials, no chemical shortcuts. Just durable metal, a single blade, and a shave that feels as good as it looks.
Clean, Durable Material You Can Trust
Bamboo Handle: With two different designs to choose from, the natural bamboo handle features sturdy brass ends. The bamboo handle provides a good grip, even when wet, while adding a natural touch to your shaving routine.
Razor Head: The reusable razor head is made from zinc alloy, chosen for balance and long-lasting performance. It's heavier than plastic so the razor does the work without additional pressure needed. The closed-comb design protects your skin and still gives you a close shave.
Blades: Made from Swedish stainless-steel, these blades stay sharp and corrosion resistant due to their platinum coating. The razor comes with 5 replacement blades to get you started. We sell refill packs on our website.
Is the bamboo safety razor effective at preventing ingrown hairs?
Yes. Ingrown hairs usually happen when hair is cut below the skin's surface and curls back into the skin as it regrows.
Multi-blade cartridges can contribute to this: the blades may pull the hair up, then cut it just beneath the skin.
The Bambaw bamboo safety razor works differently: its single blade cuts cleanly at skin level, so the hair regrows normally without curling inward. The result? Fewer bumps, less irritation and smoother skin over time.
How do I store the bamboo safety razor?
The razor can be simply left on a flat surface in a dry, well-ventilated place. Keep in mind that prolonged moisture can damage the bamboo handle.
Please note that our metal stands for our metal safety razors do not fit the bamboo safety razors.
How often should the blade be replaced?
This depends on your hair type and how frequently you shave. A good rule of thumb is to replace the blade when shaving starts requiring more effort or the blade begins pulling at your hair.
Generally, we recommend replacing it every 3-7 shaves.
How do I safely dispose of used blades?
Since our safety razor blades are made of stainless-steel, they should be collected separately and recycled according to local regulation.
Be sure to dispose of used blades properly to avoid injuring yourself or others. Check out our blade bank for a convenient way to safely collect used blades.
Can I shave my pubic hair with a safety razor?
Yes, it is possible to shave sensitive areas with the bamboo safety razor. If you are new to single blade safety razors, start with easier parts of the body to get the hang of it. Remember to prepare your skin with a protective lather and shave with the direction of hair growth.
Check out our user manual for more detailed guidance on how to use this reusable razor.
How do I clean the bamboo safety razor?
After each shave, carefully take apart the razor head and clean out all the trapped soap and hairs. Pat the parts dry after cleaning as excess moisture can damage the razor. The razor will be ready again for next use!
Check our user manual for more thorough cleaning instructions.
Will the razor or blades rust?
The razor head is made from corrosion-resistant zinc alloy, while the stainless-steel blades have a platinum coating to help resist corrosion.
Be sure to clean out any trapped hair after each use and store the razor in a dry place to help prevent moisture damage.
Are there different settings or adjustments for the blades?
No, the bamboo safety razor doesn't have any adjustable blade settings.
The head needs to be securely tightened before shaving. Be sure to twist the screw all the way until the end; not doing so can lead to cuts.
If you feel your shave isn't as close as you'd like, check to be sure you have the right blade for you. How a blade cuts can sometimes depend on your hair type. Coarser hair usually needs a sharper blade compared to finer hair.
Are safety razors harder to use than cartridge razors?
Not necessarily, but single blade safety razors do have a small learning curve due to slight differences in technique.
The safety razor must be angled at approximately 30° against your skin to shave safely and effectively. Shave with the direction of hair growth using short, slow strokes. Let the weight of the razor guide you, without additional pressure needed.
What is the difference between the metal and the bamboo safety razor?
Our two models of reusable safety razors have the same shaving head, meaning they offer the same blade exposure and closed-comb shaving design.
The main difference is the handle's material, weight, and grip which can influence how the razor feels in your hand.
