100% bamboo rayon

The composition of our bamboo fitted sheets is very simple; they are made entirely of bamboo rayon. Bamboo rayon is made from bamboo stems, a natural and renewable resource. The sheets are certified OEKO-TEX Standard 100 as no harmful chemicals are used in their manufacture.

The Thread Count of these sheets is 250, but please note that the thread count of bamboo and cotton are hardly comparable. This is because the number of TCs varies according to the shape and nature of the fibre. Bamboo fibres are finer than cotton, so a 250 TC bamboo fibre will still be softer than the softest 800 TC cotton fibre.

How is bamboo linen made?

After the bamboo has been harvested, it is ground into chips. These are then dissolved into bamboo pulp, which is then rinsed and wound into long fibres. We spin, dry, and process these fibres into bamboo spools.

Does bamboo bedding stay cool?

Yes, in addition to being naturally 3 degrees cooler than cotton, bamboo has remarkable breathable properties, which means it absorbs and evaporates moisture more easily than other materials. This ensures that you stay cool all night long.

How long does bamboo bedding last?

If you follow the washing instructions correctly, your bamboo bed sheets will last for years. In addition, they have the advantage of becoming softer with each wash, ensuring your comfort over time.

Does linen or bamboo sheets breathe better?

Yes, because the bamboo fibres are filled with gaps, this structure allows the fabric to breathe better. Therefore, it absorbs moisture better but above all evaporates it more easily. This is why bamboo bedding stays warm in winter and cool in summer.

What are the washing instructions for bamboo bed sheets?

It is best to wash your bamboo bed sheets at 30 degrees and not to use fabric softener. You should not bleach them as this could damage the fibre, use baking soda instead. Best is to hang the sheets dry. Iron them at a medium temperature.

What are the thicknesses of bamboo fitted sheets? I have a thick mattress and I'm afraid the size won't fit.

Our fitted sheets all have the same pocket size and it is 35 cm. This means that if your mattress is 35 cm thick or a little smaller than that, the fitted sheet will fit without any problems.

I'm not sure I understand the different sizes, can you help me?

We have seven sizes of bamboo fitted sheets, all with 35 cm pockets:

This means that we have two fitted sheet for a single bed and five fitted sheets for different sizes of double beds.

Is the bamboo bedding set truly only made of rayon?

Yes, Bambaw's bed sheets are made entirely from bamboo rayon fibres, which are created in a sustainable closed loop process to ensure that no harmful chemicals are used. This product is certified by the OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

Are bamboo fitted sheets stretchy or are they like a normal sheet?

The fitted sheets are elastic around the edges but the bamboo fabric itself is not elastic.

What’s the number of threads?

It is impossible to compare the thread count of cotton and bamboo because bamboo has much finer fibres. Bamboo therefore has a TC of 250 but is still softer than 800 TC cotton.
