For colour-coated bottles, hand-washing is recommended to help preserve the finish over time.

How to clean insulated water bottles properly?
For daily cleaning, wash your bottle with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush. Avoid scratching the inside.
Once a month, deep clean your thermal flask with hot water, vinegar and baking soda. Let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
You can also wash the bottle (lid removed) in the dishwasher, though hand-washing is more effective.

What size insulated water bottle fits in a car cup holder?
